What is a ceremony coordinator?
First thing first, let me explain what a ceremony coordinator is, and why you need one! The wedding ceremony is the most important part of the wedding day. For your guests, it is where the day starts. The ceremony can set the tone for the whole day.
Many couples get engaged, start the planning process with bags of enthusiasm and then find themselves completely bamboozled by trends and etiquette and the volume of information out there. The ceremony itself can often get pushed to the back of their minds.
A ceremony coordinator looks after all aspects relating to a wedding ceremony. Below are some of the services this includes
Advice on the legal process
This service is especially useful for couples eloping or for the Diaspora returning home to get married. I advise you on the process of giving notification to the HSE, what documents are required, setting up the appointments etc. If you are doing the legal ceremony in Ireland, I will walk you through what is needed and give assistance with the paperwork where possible.
Ceremony vendor sourcing
As part of this service I advise on and recommend wedding professionals for your wedding ceremony. As a planner and celebrant I have worked with many wedding professionals. This knowledge saves couples having to trawl through reviews and web profiles to try find the right person. I make the calls and source quotes and review contracts on your behalf. This saves you time and stress. Vendors would include ceremony musicians, sound engineers, florists.
On the day ceremony coordination
I will be there on the day of your wedding ceremony to ensure everything runs smoothly. I liaise with the various ceremony vendors in the run up to the wedding ceremony. I arrive at the venue early on the day to supervise and assist with setting up the ceremony space. This service starts early on the morning of the wedding and ends after the wedding ceremony. It is a great service for couples who are happy to plan their wedding but want a bit of assistance on the day to make sure things run smoothly.
