The Wedding Ceremony…your love story come to life!

Let’s get you married!

Getting married is a big deal.  Your wedding day is one of the happiest days of your life.  It is the moment you say to each other “this is for keeps”!

So much thought goes into planning the perfect wedding day. It doesn’t matter if it is an intimate ceremony for two, or a big bash with all the family.  The importance of the moment is the same.

So what do you want your wedding ceremony to be like? It is traditional? Wacky and wonderful? Sweet and sentimental? No two couples are the same, so no two wedding ceremonies are the same.

How do we get started?

As your wedding celebrant, it is my job to get to know you both.  I then write a wedding ceremony all about your story.

The planning process is lots of fun! We start off with some questionnaires that get you both thinking and talking about what you’d like in your wedding ceremony.  Once we’ve got the basics sorted, then we start to build on the fun elements that make each ceremony feel unique and special.

Would you like to hear some marriage advice from your friends and family?  How about sharing a shot of mead with your guests to toast your future? You could have fun blending your own signature cocktail as a symbol of unity. Or you could bring in some ancient traditions and give them a modern twist.

There is so much choice, and together we go through what makes you tick as an individual and as a couple, and put that on paper in a wedding ceremony made just for you!

What you get working with me?

The wedding ceremony is such an important part of the day.  As well as the (very romantic) legal contract you are agreeing to, it sets the tone for the rest of the day.  Choosing the right celebrant to help guide you through it is so important.  My couples want to be involved, they want to have a say. But they also want the reassurance of my knowledge and experience to help them plan and create their dream wedding ceremony.

Had so much fun the first time? Want to do it again?

A vow renewal is a great way to say “I love you” all over again! It is also a great way to mark a significant anniversary.  Or maybe you didn’t get to have the wedding ceremony you wanted the first time round.

I work with couples who want to say “I Do” to each other again, and the process is similar to planning a wedding ceremony.  Lots of fun and laughs, some trips down memory lane and another chance to celebrate your love story!

Anything else we need to know?

As a Wedding Celebrant and Registered Solemniser I offer both legal wedding ceremonies and symbolic non-legal ceremonies.  If you are planning a legal wedding ceremony then there is a process that needs to be completed with the Health Service Executive (HSE).  This is called your Notification of Intent to Marry.  Full details of this process and what is required can be found on the HSE website or you can read my blog post on getting legally married in Ireland.

Yvonne put together the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding this November. Working with her was a pleasure from start to finish. She was open and enthusiastic to all of our ideas (even the strange ones) and the ceremony she wrote was absolutely beautiful.  We’re so glad we chose her to work with on our special day, and we will cherish our beautiful ceremony for years to come. Thank you Yvonne!
